At Building Blocks Pediatrics, we provide personal, friendly service in a caring environment for children of all ages and we are dedicated to providing the best care during times of acute illness, chronic disability and normal stages of development.
Leigh Ann Ware, a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) and Certified Pediatric Mental Health Specialist (PMHS), has worked in the pediatric nursing industry for over 45 years and has owned Building Blocks Pediatrics since 2004. She received a master's degree in Child Administration from Florida State University and a master's degree in Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has enjoyed watching her patients grow through the clinic and is beginning to have some return to the clinic with children of their own. She is an active member of the United Methodist Church, Pleasanton and proud granny to her grandchildren.
Karah Garza is a CPNP and has practiced general pediatrics exclusively at Building Blocks Pediatrics since 2016. Her nursing experience includes working as a RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Methodist Children's Hospital as well as receiving a master's degree in Nursing from UTHSC at San Antonio and a master's degree in Public Health from UTHSC at Houston. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying running, skiing, cycling and mountain biking in addition to spending time with her husband and three daughters. Karah enjoys caring for the pediatric population in Atascosa county because she gets to see her patients live and grow outside of the clinic.
