Who We Are

At  Building Blocks Pediatrics, we provide personal, friendly service in a caring environment for children of all ages and we are dedicated to providing the best care during times of acute illness, chronic disability and normal stages of development.

Karah Garza is a CPNP and has practiced general pediatrics exclusively at Building Blocks Pediatrics since 2016, becoming the new owner of the practice in 2021. Her nursing experience includes working as a RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Methodist Children's Hospital as well as receiving a master's degree in Nursing from UTHSC at San Antonio and a master's degree in Public Health from UTHSC at Houston.  She is an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying running, skiing, cycling and mountain biking in addition to spending time with her husband and three daughters.  Karah enjoys caring for the pediatric population in Atascosa county because she gets to see her patients live and grow outside of the clinic.

Jill Clark, MSW, LCSW-S is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has joined Building Blocks Pediatrics in 2022 as an embedded Counselor.  She has over 17 years of counseling/social work experience, which includes the past 10 years of providing counseling in the public-school setting.  Jill graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work.  She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Texas State University.  Jill is a wife and mom to 3 active kids.  She enjoys attending her children’s sporting events, watching Netflix, spending time with her family/friends and is excited to join a clinic with local roots.
